the streator silver fox illinois wedding | joe + mary
little fun fact about me...I watch the movie Sweet Home Alabama about 4 to 6 times a year.I love it.it makes me wish I lived in the south...with lightning bolt deep south glass, in a house overlooking a lake, with my high school sweetheart, sipping ice tea while listening to this song by Ms. Dolly Parton.I love it.that songs been on repeat while I finished editing up my sweet cousins wedding to her sweetheart from a few weeks ago.the song fits somehow...he's an incredible farmer who lives on a cute farmhouse in the middle of his thousands of acres deep in the Mid-West.his barns are filled with giant tractors...tractors that are bigger than small houses.there are big beautiful trees that line the front yard that sway and whisper in the midwest breeze.a long winding dirt road leads up to this and when the sun is setting...it's like a scene from a norman rockwell americana art piece.and then my beautiful cousin, mary.mary with her beautiful platinum fashionable blonde hair that rivals marilyn monroe.mary with her gorgeous smile that is infectious when she laughs from her toes.mary with her big heart and love for the people around her...including her own class as an elementary school teacher.mary fits for joe in my mind...and joe fits for mary.him with his farmer stability...her with her color and laughter.him with his acres of land that he works hard to harvest and provide...her with her support of him.when I listen to the song...I can imagine my cousin happy on her wedding...marrying her love and embracing all that's to come in being his wife.this day makes me happy...happy to have gotten to spend it photographing MY family...happy to have gotten to see where my beautiful cousin will live her adorable farm life/teacher life...happy to have been here, on this day, celebrating a marriage to two beautiful people starting out their forever life together!congratulations again, Joe + Mary! :)
