the age old question...if you're a photographer, where do you get your photograph taken?!I was SO happy to take these for my friend, Katie who is the owner of Nakupenda Photography!she is primarily an equestrian portrait photographer, but she loves photographing pretty much anything!I especially love the heart behind her company:

"In Kenya during the summer of 2009 I meet, worked with, played with, sang with and danced with hundreds of kids. For two months I lived in Kenya and worked alongside native teachers, enjoying a pseudo-celebrity status as my white skin cried out that I was a Mzungu. Children would flock to my team begging for scraps, for attention, a smile and most of all for love. Have you ever been blessed to witness a child realizing that they are truly loved for the first time? I have. Most of us grow up knowing we are loved, but not him. I never realized what love really meant until I held him in my arms and told him I loved him. Four times I told him before he truly believed and my heart shattered because I could not do more than promise to love him for all time.Nakupenda sana rafiki yangu. I love you very much my friend. I will never be the same."

she raises money specifically from her sessions for a woman named Elizabeth who is now studying to be a doctor largely in part to Katie's support of her education.  you should check out her website to read more about the people she serves through photography! :)I LOVE her heart and love that she trusts me behind the lens to photograph her gorgeousness! and I couldn't leave out the "guard dog" that liked barking at us during her mini-session! ;)
