this past weekend I got to photograph Caleb + Sarah saying I do with Elizabeth.it was the last wedding of 2015 in Colorado and one that I will remember as one of my all-time favorite weddings to date.the people in these photographs are some of the most giving + loving people I've had the opportunity to witness + photograph...as soon as Elizabeth and I walked in, we were greeted with a room full of exclamations of "we're SO glad you're here...thank you so much for coming!!!"and then handed gifts.let's pause on that for a second...WE were handed gifts...I'm sorry to make a large deal of it, but that doesn't happen on weddings that I know of...the bride giving US gifts?!we looked at each other and smiled...instantly feeling loved and SO appreciated and welcomed to a front seat to their day...they were surrounded by family + friends who were beyond happy to celebrate this couples beautiful day.not one person in attendance appeared to have anything else at the forefront of their mind,celebrating and helping the celebration go as seamlessly as possible seemed the only thing on everyone's mind.a lot of times I'll notice the "fringe" tables at a reception...people who came to attend a wedding and were happy to be there...but who you noticed maybe had a time limit to their celebration...at these tables, watches are glanced at frequently...phones are checked...more often than not simply as a distraction...that was NOT the case at this wedding.literally everyone I noticed was in full attention and full of excitement and happiness for Caleb + Sarah.and side note and something that seemed pleasantly odd to me,it was a first wedding that I can recall that not one other camera or even a cell phone was present other than at the reception...Caleb + Sarah, it is most obvious that you are so loved...and loved by so many! so many congratulations again to you both! :)
