this day. this friend...I'm struggling to tell you of how special this day was to me...largely in part because I feel like you should know more of the woman, the friend in these photographs...rather that just see a beautiful bride...because somehow, I feel like that if you knew this friend the way I do,her beauty and this day will convey how amazing she is...also, there should be a PSA for how long of a post this is...fair warning. ;)

that's who she has been to my kids for the last decade...she calls mine micah-man + maddie-moo...and they love her.now you can say "aww, that's cute." and move on...buts it's more than that to me.as a mom...and especially as a mom that wears the hat of being a student ministries wife...my kids have had the upbringing in knowing a LOT of young people.good or bad, it's just the nature of my husband's job...we get to interact and do a short season of life with a lot of people between the ages of 13-24 on a regular basis.and in meeting and doing life with all those student-age kids you naturally become closer to a few more than others.Kristy is one of those few for our family.for whatever reason, God saw fit to allow her and my path's to cross and in doing so, I got a lifelong friend.to start, she comes from an incredible family...a family that loves and lives like they love Jesus.a family that is loyal, faithful, kind, funny and hard-working and people I'm privileged to say I'm friends with.she serves and loves the same way she was shown to serve and love...faithfully + with everything she has.from teaching my kids their ABC's as their preschool teacher, to over-the-top summer camp costumes,to managing and organizing hundreds of students as the admin,to understanding life on life for life and picking up my kids for dutch bros runs while buying supplies for staff meetings,to loving her thirty plus girls in her small groups, to organizing glow dance parties in the snow at wintercamp,and simply making a regular effort to catching up with me over chipotle and letting me have a front seat to her last decade...this woman, this Ms. Fulbright who is now Mrs. Duke...she is someone I so love and admire.the fact that she was just as excited to have me next to her on her most incredible wedding day...getting to photograph her first few moments in entering this incredible new season of life...just...so many happy tears. :)I love you, Kristy.you are so easy to love and I could not be more happy to see you loving being Mrs. Duke.of all the days we've spent together thus far,getting to photograph you on your most beautiful day is easily one of my most favorite days spent with you.and Josh, I like you.I really do...you're a natural leader, you make her feel and know she's beautiful,you're extravagant in loving her, you love her family and the people she considers family,you're loved by so many and have an awesome + fun family,you love Jesus and I can SO see how amazing you are and are going to continue to be as Kristy's husband...but like Matt said right before you said I do...don't jack this up. ;)I love you both, so much... :) SO many happy congratulations and thank you for allowing elizabeth and I a front row seat to your amazing day! :)
