crowne plaza arizona wedding | ben + bethany
the way you look tonight..."father of the bride" and turning page..."breaking dawn".those two movie moments echoed in my head as I've poured over and edited Ben + Bethany's beautiful wedding day.why those two scenes?the scene in "father of the bride"...at the beginning of the scene, the pull-back on steve martin as he looks around at the sea of cars...his face captures what I would imagine how many feel on their wedding days...in all the hustle + bustle, in all the planning, in all the moving parts, in the sea of faces...in that single movie moment, his face captures that feeling, the feeling that you've somehow missed the wedding...even while being fully present.I'm smiling now...because that was not the case with Bethany and she set up the day that allowed her to be present in each moment the day presented...in talking with her as she described how she dreamed of my involvement in the day, she described:real moments, artistic-non-forced moments, photo-journalistic moments...moments.she valued and found a way to preserve her wedding day moments that tony bennett sang about as that "father of the bride" scene played on..."the way you looked tonight..."for some, large extravagant wedding suit the couples wedding day celebrations...what I liked about Ben + Bethany's day was that it suited them...uncomplicated, simplicity done so well that elegance was allowed to shine...as they sat in the center of their single reception table...surrounded by their loved ones, I had to smile...these two had successfully planned out their elegant celebration and were most definitely have their "the way you looked tonight" evening they so desired.the second movie scene that echoed in my head...the "breaking dawn" movie moment...I saw Bethany moments before she was to walk down to say I do to Ben...she was surrounded by her friends...busy happy chatter...you could see that nerves were starting to set in in her eyes...not one for being the center of attention - all eyes were on her and you could tell she felt them...the music started to swell and she pulled her shoulders back and started to walk the aisle towards her love...her head was tilted slightly down until the moment she came to beginning of the aisle...until she had a clear visual path to Ben...as she came to that spot in the aisle, she lifted her head and connected eyes with Ben,both of their faces immediately softened...any stress, any anxiety, any of busyness of the day melted awayand you could tell it was just the two of them in their eyes.it was absolutely perfect.Ben + Bethany, I could not be more excited and happy for the two of you to be married...thank you so much for allowing me a small part into your most beautiful day!kreatid photography + designvenue | crowne plaza san marcos golf resortbridal dress | brilliant bridalbridal shoes | chinese laundry
