I have sat here for the past ten minutes watching my cursor mock me by blinking emptily at me...I've found that I always feel a loss for words when my heart is the fullest...sometimes days like this one are hard to describe - which is why I love being behind a lens and being able to describe that way when words fail...but to say what my heart feels most simply...the bride in these photographs?the beautiful, funny, hard-working, loyal, drop-dead gorgeous, someone-I'm-lucky-to-call-my-friend bride is married.and my heart is full...so tremendously full of happiness and love for her.I say it a lot and mean it every time, but especially on this day...it was an absolute privilege getting to spend the day photographing this sweet friend marry her love...getting to see the details she so lovingly and meticulously poured over beautiful displayed throughout her day,getting to see her smile as her sweet mom zipped her up in her gorgeous dress...I'm still smiling at asking her "do you feel beautiful?"her shoulders drew up, her hands clasped together and lifted to her heart and she almost child-like happily said "yes!!!"I couldn't help it as my eyes filled with happy tears as she stood in front of that full length mirror...the best man said it best...kristy, you are a unicorn...a beautiful magical unicorn.there is no other like you...literally.and to get to see you, beaming with happiness at getting to be Mrs. Duke is now my all-time favorite memory of you...I'm excited for the many more memories that I'm sure to come in getting to be your friend...but this day?this day is my favorite of you.I love you both and cannot wait to show you the rest of your day!thank you for allowing elizabeth and I a front-row seat to your seriously incredible day!
