agritopia orchard | 2019 family mini sessions
this location is a.l.w.a.y.s. beautiful.
always.
I love that joe and his design team and farm team have done an incredible job of transporting you out of "typical" arizona the minute you step on his property.
especially when you enter the agritopia orchards.
the orchards are lush with green everywhere, there are long grasses that just beg to be run through and the lighting that peeks through the long leading lines of orange and peach trees beg to put people in front of it!
in approaching family sessions this year, I've been working through deeper thoughts about legacy and what it means to really tell my clients stories through pictures that they'll remember in 10, 15, and especially at 50 years. I think the legacy of a photograph is in the nuances, in the way hands naturally fall on your loved ones shoulders, in giggles with kids who won't be kids forever, in forcing busy mom's + dad's to slow down and be in each others spaces in front of my lens...legacy is more than historical "cheese" smiles and I'm working at keeping my shutter clicking in the in-between in an effort to make room for legacy in front of my lens this season for family portraits.
here are a few of my favorites from the day with the beautiful families that were in front of my camera this year in the agritopia orchards!
