the raber's | arizona family photographer

I don't think I'll ever be a fan of the phrase "...we just need a snapshot...like one or two photos..."don't get me wrong, I totally understand why it's said...there's a christmas card you need to send to grandma or something to the same effect...but the thing I love that more and more of my clients are coming to me for, is to tell their families story through pictures.I 100% believe that whether it's a snapshot or an entire session...you, as the photographer, should shoot to tell a story.why?because in twenty years, the sweet and little faces in these pictures are going to want to tell them.they aren't going to want to tell the story of where mom got a little crazy making all of us say "cheese" through gritted teeth.they aren't going to remember the perfectly coordinated and spotless clothes their mother labored over (although MY OCD-ness loves her for doing it!) ;)they are going to remember being tickled by their big tall dad til' they couldn't breathe...they are going to remember wrestling on the blanket with their little brothers and sisters...they are going to remember how they got to show off how fast they could run with dust flying in the background..,.they are going to remember seeing their mom happy and beautiful and getting to kiss her...they are going to remember the chickens and rooster crowing loudly in the back and giggling at how loud they were...they are going to remember something.and my hope is that something is a story of a fun day they got to spend with their family...a day where a lady with a camera got to photograph their beautiful story of families just being families.meet the raber's...a family that is was a privilege to get to spend the afternoon with...thank you, jason + kate! :)2014-11-24_00012014-11-24_00022014-11-24_00032014-11-24_00042014-11-24_00052014-11-24_00062014-11-24_00072014-11-24_00082014-11-24_00092014-11-24_00102014-11-24_00112014-11-24_00122014-11-24_00132014-11-24_00142014-11-24_0015
