the english family | arizona family photographer

the cool thing that I love about getting to do what I do, is that the images that you see on your computer screenare not still frames in my mind...I have memories attached to the images you look at, I have sound effects...I get to see the in-between shots...the laughing, the joke-cracking, the eye-rolls...people and clients sometimes will come up to me and ask if my clients are REALLY like how I describe them from my time spent with them photographing them...and I can honestly say "yes."if I write about a person on this blog, they are as I see them and as I describe them to you.however, I should preface that by saying, just because I told you the good memories I have of a particular client,it doesn't always mean the uncomfortable and less-than-picture-perfect moments don't happen as well. ;)my mom used to tell me often:"if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."and I honestly think there is good to be noticed and said about each of my clients...the two observations I'd like to share about family are these:1. The people in these photographs are genuine, God-fearing, good people that I have a hard time believing those less-than-picture-perfect moments happen...ever.I know...that's a pretty dang big statement. And I also know that we're all flawed and sinners in our own way...but literally this family unit as a whole is just ridiculously nice and kind people that make it a joy to be around.they make me want to replicate their kindness...the world needs more people like that, in my opinion. :)2. There must be vampire blood somewhere in the English gene pool because each of them is uniquely beautiful and handsome in their own way and aging seems to take it's time with these people. ;)I'm totally kidding about vampires...I know they're not real. ;)but I will say that beauty runs oh, so freely in this family.the last thing I will say about these people is about the mom.hours before the session she asked me a simple question that brought tired tears to my eyes"you do a lot for other people, but who blesses you? sign me up if no one else does."it was a much appreciated verbal hug from a woman I admire very much.thank you, dawn and thank you, english family for allowing me and my girl an afternoon with you! :) 2014-12-02_00172014-12-02_00192014-12-02_00182014-12-02_00202014-12-02_00212014-12-02_00222014-12-02_00232014-12-02_00262014-12-02_00252014-12-02_00272014-12-02_00282014-12-02_00292014-12-02_00242014-12-02_00302014-12-02_00312014-12-02_00322014-12-02_0033
