my crayon box

you remember my post about creativity and my crayon box?well, this post is for the additional colors I've collected along the way of 2012.people inspire me and fill my camera view-finder with beautiful colors and imagery...vendors and friends who take a backseat to the beautiful weddings I post...but who without them, there would be little to see of these beautiful weddings.here are a few of my favorite "colors" of 2012 :)obviously at the top of my list is my sister from Elizabeth Ann Photography.she is the ying to my yang, the up to my down...and I couldn't do weddings or life without her.her creativity, her friendship, her attention to detail, her drive, are rivaled to no one and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE getting to do this with my sister. :)my favorite location (this was HARD to choose) was at a little wedding venue in Sedona called the Creekside Inn.not only did the owner great us at the gate in normal clothes, but allowed us our own parking spot for easy access to our gear...the bridal getting ready area wasn't enormous, but it was decorated in a most romantic, comfortable way...the sprawling green yard that led into national forest was perfectly manicured with perfectly placed statues throughout.the actual ceremony was on lush green grass that overlooked the creek...just perfectly romantic.I definitely will be recommending bride's to this location!some other's that were tremendously high on the location list were:Spruce Mountain Guest Ranch InnLavender & LaceFountain BlueThe Windmill WineryVilla ParkerL'AubergeThe Inn at Palmer Divide and finally,Cielomy favorite florist's this year were:Mireille from everybody loves flowers.her modern arrangements have me coming back to her again and again even for senior sessions!Tamara's Arrangements...large, beautiful overflowing centerpieces...they were just stunning!Gloria from Glorious Floral Designs...everything she creates is SO romantic! :)Twig's & Posies...SO creative and LUSH!and Shelli from Community Florist made some of the most beautiful topiary's I've seen to date!I got to work with two make-up artists this year...my favorite and good friend Cassandra. If you look up class, right next to it is a picture of her! I just love this gorgeous lady! :)I also had the pleasure of working with Jessie from Glamourous Design...I LOVED her soft, romantic transformation of a beautiful woman into an even more beautiful natural looking bride! For nail artistry, I always go to and recommend my good friend Debbie of Simply Ravishing Salon. She doesn't overwork the nail, only uses the best & healthiest products and makes sitting in her chair feel like you're the only person in the world she'd like to be talking with and oh, by the way - you get to have fabulous nails after sitting down with this friend! :)There were two D.J. companies that stood out to me as to people I would love to work with again...First, Mike & Andy of Bolt Entertainment.I feel like D.J.'s can get a bad rap as far as "cheese" goes...these guys have none of it.current, relevant music that kept people moving on the dance floor in a non-irritating way...color light spectrum's that encouraged the mood...and seamless class in keeping the flow of the evening going...definitely a pleasure to work with in Arizona and I highly recommend them to all my brides.my second recommendation is simply based on getting to observe his love of what he gets to do is All American D.J.chad was fun to chat with and seriously seemed to enjoy what he gets to do!and who can pick a favorite wedding cake?!I can't...cake is cake and it's all good.but here were some that stood out among the rest:kris from kris' konfectionscaketinileslesy' creative cakeslisa's rum cakes andcreative cakes by sue.the two interior decorator's that stood out to me as some of the best vintage stylist's around were:Kathy of something old, something older andLynda of Interior's by LyndaKathy being well known in the valley for her extensive collection of vintage vingette's...seriously anything you could dream up she has ten of.her eye for detail and arrangement have her HIGH on my list for recommendations to bride's.and Lynda gets the award for most detail oriented mother-of the bride.not only did she help her daughter plan an entire wedding from across the country, but her interior decorating skills were put to amazing use throughout the entirety of her daughter's wedding...breathtaking, indeed.the final crayon in my crayon box for this post is one of the most unique vendors that Elizabeth and I worked with that our husbands profited from.a custom Cuban cigar rolled and cut by the Cuban himself.probably the most original and unique wedding favor I've seen to date! :)such a beautiful, colorful 2012!looking forward to 2013! :)
