westlake village california wedding | steven + jackie
THE hardest part in photographing a wedding HAS to be culling down your favorite images for a first look - especially this one from this past weekend in westlake village california.
steven + jackie's tenderness + happy love towards one another the ENTIRE day is what chic flicks get inspiration from. I'm not kidding, it was that good. ALL day long.
I'm going to be blogging this one fully in a few weeks but I can't let this post go without telling you a few of my initial favorite moments from the day. I think one of my favorite moments was when steven saw jackie for the first time for portraits together at the beautiful westlake village inn. lush green vines, tall tall cottonwood tree's all surrounded them as jackie made her way towards steven. and steven. :) in getting to photograph this particular moment, I got to see the front-row-real-nerves moments before he saw her...it was seriously sweet. I have no doubt that anticipation/overwhelmedness/excitement/nervousness were at an all time high for him, but when he turned around...it was like an immediate flood of overwhelmed happiness as his hand rose to his mouth in disbelief in seeing his beautiful jackie and he literally gasped.
the laughter and happiness permeated the rest of the day as friends and family surrounded them and CELEBRATED these two.
one last initial favorite moment I had that I'll let you in before their full blog post was simple but so sweet to me. I took the two of them out for five minutes during the reception because the lighting was just too glowy during blue hour that I couldn't not. if I had to describe jackie's demeanour the entire day I would liken it to rapunzel from tangled + charlotte from the princess + the frog...just contagious FUN happiness that you really want to be around and have her mega-watt smile aimed at. we were finishing up blue hour portraits when jackie started to happily skip off in her converse towards the music from her reception. she flipped her hair and called over her shoulder happily, "let's go, husband!" to which steven grinned at me darting after her and calling to her, "coming, wife!" it made me laugh out loud at the cuteness of it and in that moment, I could see the next few months of their marriage happily being just like that.
I can't WAIT to show you this happy day, thank you so much for having me steven + jackie! SO many congratulations to you both! :)
