a lot of emotional association goes into a name...ask any mom or dad that is expecting a new baby...really, a LOT of emotional association goes into a name. :)think about the name donald...who did you think of?for me it's duck...okay, so maybe trump is in there too...sorry, it just is.what about the name emma?I think of emma thompson and much ado about nothing...or emma watson and hermione...or that jane austin movie with gwyneth paltrow from a while back.you can't help but associate people and then feelings to names.when God gave Adam the job of naming all the animals,I think some days in his naming process he might have gotten a little amused...take hippopotamus...there is no way he wasn't amused with himself and his naming abilitythe day the hippopotamus was named...say it...the name in of itself is amusing let alone looking at the animal. ;)or ox...you can almost see him folding his arms, puffing his chest out,going nose to nose with the animal attempting toughness and declaring in one syllable with his chin raised...OX.it fits.emotional association to a name. :)which brings me to the name jack.do you know that I've never known a jack that has the same personality?I actually sat here and thought of all the jacks I associate with that name and none of them are the same in personality...and most of them have loads of it...personality, that is.jack sparrow...you know from pirates of the caribbean...a sort of meandering, amusing, slightly swaggerish pirate...full of personality.jack nicholson...someone I'd love to photograph some day...loads of somewhat - okay a lot of arrogant confidence and apparent disregard for pleasant social-ness and yetsomehow you still like him.jack dawson - "jack! jack, come back! come back!" "you jump, I jump, right?!"oh, I don't care if it's cliche - I like this jack...an adventurous and hopelessly romantic jack. :)jack shepherd - you get massive bonus points if you know who this jack is...okay, I'll help you "but if we can't live together, we're going to die alone." from my most loved and hated tv show...lost.such a great story and jack.all the way up to the last couple of episodes...I digress, but this jack was a leader...someone worth following in a seemingly time of duress.I could keep going...jack and the beanstalk, jack the ripper, jack black, jackie chan, jack nicklaus, jack frost, baby jack jack...jack is a good, full-of-personality name.even more so now because now, because when I think of this name,I will associate this jack with a sunny afternoon in downtown phoenix hanging with one of the most laid-back, fully-entertaining,really quite extremely handsome, coffee drinking, jeep driving, driven,cool guys I've gotten to meet and spend time with in a long time!thank you for the afternoon, jack and jack + trisha!I so enjoyed it spending time with your full of personality jack! :)
