palomar hotel arizona wedding | adam + ashley
to understand a piece of their story, you need to watch this animated short...I think that that story was written about them...or at least it could have been...some people are simply meant to be together...their story?they met on an airplane...her pursued her, and then several months later,he proposed to her on an airplane...*sigh*ohhhhhhhhhhh the romance of it all!their getting to the alter story is awesome and terribly romantic, but I want to tell you why these two and their most gorgeous wedding were most memorable to me...why their day is one that I smiled and continue to smile at...to tell you about the way he looked at her for the first time...his face was visibly overwhelmed with awe at her...and she, when he turned around, the same reaction...tears filled her eyes with absolute love for him.to tell you how the day continued and they were surrounded by so many of their closest friends and family...to tell you how we watched + photographed as her mom tenderly laced up her beautiful wedding dress...or as her sister helped put on her most perfect louboutin wedding shoes...to tell you about the sheer awe in being in one of the cities oldest churches as they tearfully promised forever to each other...but I think that in spite of all of those memorable moments, the most memorable thing of the day was simply...her.there is just something about her.most obviously she is incredibly beautiful...as in grace kelly beautiful...beauty that is legendary. ;)in thinking about legendary beauty...it made me wonder what made women like this woman legendary in their beauty.very much like the girl in the paperman, it's her eyes first that grab peoples attention...I don't know how it's possible to have kind eyes, but she does...but it's not that that makes her beauty legendary...I watched as she moved throughout the reception room at the top of the palomar hotel...I watched as she smiled and hugged and made sure each of their guests knew they were loved and appreciated...I watched as she laced her fingers as she danced with both of her dad's...smiling and being fully in the moment dancing with each of them...I watched as she would gently link her arm with his as they smiled and chatted with loved ones throughout the reception, taking moments in between to love each other and BE in their moment...and my conclusion to this legendary beauty thought is that legendary beauty is legendary notbecause it is simply beautiful...in a day and age where beauty can be bought...legendary beauty sets itself apart...it becomes legendary by the way that it radiates from within...kindness, genuine-not-forced kindness, the ability to embrace a moment and smile and then welcome others into it,to care and love for others...more than yourself even...legendary beauty is yes, beautiful...but it only is legendary because of the beauty that radiates from within...adam and ashley, elizabeth and I can't thank you enough for allowing us the day to photograph your love...and ashley...you were and are so beautiful, friend...legendary, in fact. :)
