I've been sitting here for about fifteen minutes watching the cursor blink at me...how do I tell you who this person is to me?she is...she is...well, she is my kristy. :)*the cursor is blinking again...I've lost count how many times it's blinked at me.and I realize that I have told you nothing of who she is by simply declaring that she is my kristy* ;)she is not my family by blood,she is my family by choice.relationships obviously take two in order for them to work.when you're younger, it's fairly normal to have a mentor person older than you who pursues you,who sort-of dictates the depth of the relationship.as you grow up, you realize that the profound relationships...the ones that get your heartbeat,who know what make you tick,who can read your face and know that something is off,who stay up til midnight watching lost and feel your outrage at stupid endings,the kind of relationships that you laugh so hard that you cry real tears and legitimately feel like you're going to die from laughing,who you cry real tears with and your heart aches when their heart aches,those type of relationships that switch from friend to family.kristy is one of those for me.she is someone who is easy to love...she serves others with her whole heart,she laughs big, and dances through life.she's seen her fair-share of the hard that life has to offer and remains strong in spite of it.I admire her tremendously...she's my kristy. :)okay, how do I describe why this session is so happy for me?I could tell you about the first fish taco I ever ate and loved that he/she helped me orderor about the first every ferry I've ever taken - as in our.car.was.floating.on.a.boat.over.water?!but this session was more than that to me...when I look at their photographs, I can smell the salt in the air,I can feel the wind and sun on my face and I can see her...see her be tremendously happy...happy to be in her happy place that she grew up with a lifetime of memories,happy to be in the place that she brought him to...I think that to be brought here is to be allowed to enter into a sacred place...happy places are like that...they're kinda sacred... :)this session is so happy for me because I got to see her happy place...I got to see her be happy in the exact place that he engaged her :)I got to see her be happy to be with her love...he is good for her.he is strong...he brings out her funny sarcasm and they laugh together.he is confident...in who he is and in the way he loves her.and he loves her.my goodness he loves her...you can see it in their pictures...it's not forced...it's easy and it's so good for her.she becomes more of who she is when she is around him.this session is one of the happiest because it's with one of the people I love, in her happy place,with the one who she gets to spend the rest of her life loving...THIS was a tremendously good day. :)
