every now and again you come across someone who can only be described as an experience.as in you're not hanging out with someone, because of their personality, you're experiencing them.as in you're not only looking through your camera as someone,you've entered the experience in getting to see who they really are. :)THAT is what this girl is to me in my eyes.abundantly appreciative of me and what I had to bring to her session,(apparently she's waited for her turn in front of my lens for the last three years?! crazy cool!)but equally creative in what she brought to her session...I get it, it's not easy to meet someone and immediately feel at ease being stared at from behind that new persons lens.BUT she brought it. (yes, bring it on reference totally implied.)I dunno if it's her incredible ballroom dance skills, her intelligence, her style or just her incredible personalitybut whatever it was - it was incredible to spend time with and photograph for the afternoon!I laughed then and I still smile now, I asked her what she was planning on doing in the next five years,she smiled and said simply, I'd like to go to fashion school (FIT), but I think I'd also really like to be on broadway.simple as that...and you know what?I believe her.small in stature, fun-size if you will ;), but HUGE in personality + ambition.I do believe I WILL see her on broadway if she so chooses it!last thing of note...largely in part to her incredible mom, neisha...ladies - take note...she brought the most amazing jewelry/fix-it/emergency hair tool box I have ever seen...it was magical. ;)as it opened it had bobby pins, all sorts of jewelry/necklaces, cu-tips, touch up make-up, nail touch up things...I seriously think angels sung as she opened it! ;)neisha, you could make millions selling magical little boxes like the one you have for your daughter!so yes, this session brings a smile to my face because this girl brings a smile to my face!I CAN.NOT. wait to hear of all the amazing things you will accomplish, kassie!and p.s.
