each friday on the kreatid blog, I’m shining a spotlight on a different person who I admire on a regular basis…the people who inspire me (whether in person on on-line) to strive to live every day, creatively.no matter what their creative medium is,no matter what their vocation is,if I admire them, you’re gonna be introduced to them!in·spi·ra·tion [in-spuh-rey-shuhn] nouna thing or person that inspires.do you instagram?if not, you should.not because the world needs a plethora of more selfies ;)but because you should fill your feed with instagram's of you LIVING your life.I LOVE getting open up my little insta-window and being inspired by crazy beautiful images from around the world!need a new window?  follow: @natgeo, @ioegreer, @nimbusgss, @hashtagwynning, @mikeolbinski, @the_hodge are great people to follow to escape into another world!and then there is THIS lady...THE @paigeoverturfshe is someone I have been following for awhile on instagram...filling my window with her creative travels around the world.that window led me to her blog.I've always thought that when a person/company keeps a blog,it's a little like getting invited into someone's living room to have imaginary coffee and listen to their thoughts.(if it's not and I'm just a stalker, don't pop my bubble...I'm happy in it.) ;)paige writes/communicates/viusally story-tell's like you're in her living room and she's simply sharing her heart...THAT is why she is today's INSPIRATION|friday.she is refreshing,she is encouraging,she is stunningly beautiful and quirky,she is incredibly talented and creative,she has a good heart,and I admire her.meet, paige. :)

if you had to describe “you” in ten words,how would you describe yourself?

passionate, dreamer, spontaneous, curious, short (that one made me laugh) :), adventurous, happy, singer, night owl, extrovert

what got you interested in photography?

it all started when I was 5 years old, I received a scrapbook kit for christmas which included a disposable camera. after that I would occasionally use my mom's film camera, until at age 11 when I bought my first digital camera. I knew then that was the path God had for me and the passion grew deeper every day. my family has always been very supportive and I’ve never been without a model to practice lighting and posing. we moved to Guam right after I graduated high school and that is where I officially started my business. [read the full story here]  if I wasn’t a photographer, I definitely would have taken the path of singing. preferably opera and classical crossover, but I love to sing all styles. except rap. rapping for me is like trying to breath underwater: only works in dreams.

who do you look to for inspiration?

jasmine star, tim king, alex beadon, seth godin, john maxwell, bridal and surf magazines, chris burkard.  and so many more!

what are the top three magazine’s you would buy?

unveiled, InStyle Mag, i do destination weddings.

favorite band/song/music for inspiration?

no matter who I listen to, I always go back to katherine jenkins.  there is something so freeing about hitting those high notes.

favorite three blog’s you like to read?

jasmine star, tim king, and infinity list (videos).

if you could encourage someone who is just starting out in photography, what would you say to them?

I say this a lot, because I firmly believe it: passion trumps logic.dare to dream.go against the tide.let your creativity shine.read.ask questions.get together with other photographers...network.your work is a reflection of who you are and what you advertise: post photos that really show your brand and style.photograph all the time.try different lighting at different times of the day.you can read your camera manual, but unless you put some of the knowledge into action, it won’t mean anything.practice makes perfect.look at your potential.face your fear.go get your dream.

what lights you up on a daily basis?

a smile. seeing someone happy, someone who looks at a situation and sees the positive. THIS lights me up.

top three favorite colors + foods/drinks?

turquoise, pink, and alltheothercolors. :) I love color. favorite drinks are water or sour lemonade. I love fruit of any kind and chocolate chip cookies.

favorite article(s) of clothing?

dresses, I could wear them everyday...or board shorts and a tank top.

where would you escape to in the world if you could?and why?

hawaii. I have my dream home all planned in my head. a little bungalow on stilts with palm trees all around and the beach in front. my turquoise and white VW van would be parked on the side. it’s always been a dream, I love the beach - that’s about as practical of a reason as I can give. ;)

how many places have you livedand where do you call home?

I've lived in 9 different places, including okinawa and guam twice, but I consider north caraolina home - it’s the only place I’ve lived for longer than 3 years.

a memory from your childhood,that not a lot of people know about?

when I was 11, my dad was stationed on an aircraft carrier. during this duty station he deployed for 7 months. at the end of the deployment, my grandma and I flew from washington to hawaii to meet my dad. we then joined several others on a tiger cruise and rode the carrier for five days from hawaii to san diego. I’ll never forget going up on the bridge with my dad where he said the evening prayer that broadcasted throughout the entire carrier. because we were so high, you could feel the sway of the ship back and forth. looking out the window, there was nothing but ocean for miles and miles. the moon reflected over the ocean and the stars looked like glitter in the sky. it was so quiet and peaceful.

do you have any brother’s/sister’s?where are you at in the birth order?

I’m a middle child. 5th of 8. I say it’s the best of both worlds having older sisters and brothers AND a younger sister and brothers. but I boss everyone around like I’m the oldest, oops! ;)

what is a nickname(s) you've been called in your life?

my dad calls me pay-pay. my mom calls me pauge. and my siblings call me cookie monster, my love for chocolate chip cookies is very devout.

if you could be a super hero,what super power's would you have?

oh that’s a hard one. I never was into super hero’s, but if I could have super powers I would probably choose to be a fairy - there are so many places I want to travel and fairies help people - it’d be the best of both worlds - fly around and throw pixie dust!

where do you find your guilty pleasures if you have any?

my guilty pleasure is staying up late on my computer until 3 am. most times I’m on pinterest, blog hopping, or reading articles on business and marketing.

do you have a collection?or do you want to collect anything?

I’ve never had an actual collection. I always thought it would be cool to have a collection but my mind hops from thing to thing so fast that if I ever started a collection it wouldn’t last very long.  I love too many things in life. well, I collection quotes, does that count? my fullest board on pinterest is “beautiful words.”

do you have any other hobbies you enjoy?

singing. I love to sing! writing. exploring - I love to explore new areas and find awesome places. I’ll turn my GPS on and find places that look interesting to explore and then I drive there. sometimes I end up on a dirt road that says - no trespassing - while other times it leads to a really cool place! You never know what’s out there unless you check it out.

what's your favorite quote/bible verse(photography or not)? why?

“I can do all thing thru Christ who strengthens me.” - this is my go to verse all the time.  either needing strength to get through a hard time, when I'm nervous, when I want to reach a seemingly impossible goal, or when making a decision that doesn’t flow with the mainstream.  no matter what, I can rest in the fact that I can do ALL THINGS through Christ who is my strength.quotes are my thing, my family likes to joke about me always having a quote for everything.my current favorite is I saw on pinterest, but I believe it’s from a red bull commercial:“you can dream about it - or you can go out and make it happen.”if you would like to see more of paige, check her out on:her website,her blog,her instagram,her facebook,or on twitter! :)much love to you all, and HAPPY friday! :)
