sometimes I describe to you the memories I have of the people in front of my lens BEFORE their sessions, but for this one...I have to share a new memory I have of these people... :)the sun had set.the girls had gathered around to catch up on what dinner plans were going to be and laughing about something, she was smiling and taking the time to describe to me her happy memories of Christmas past...the eldest was playing catch with the youngest, the dog was running back and forth happily barking between the football catch's and random grasshoppers...the other boys offered without being asked to load up all their fun family memory prop's.there was noise, laughter, work and memories all happening simultaneously...I could not help but smile.to say the least, being with these people was nothing short of a much-needed encouragement...you see, I had recently been wrestling with a few memories of encounter'sof what could be perceived as entitlement...a growing number of person's thinking they "deserved" something out of life...usually without the work put in to the thing "deserved".those memories left me kind-of in a funk until my session with these people.these people are NOT "those" people. :)these people serve each other with a smile...happily.these people know what work looks like and don't grimace at it...instead they smile at it.these people appreciate others around them...these people appreciate time together and the memories that happen when they're together...these people laugh easily and good-naturedly at each other and even at themselves...these people made what I do that night a "get-to"...these people are good people.
