this weekend I got to photograph this gorgeous wedding high in the Rocky Mountains with Elizabeth.(p.s. a behind-the-scenes short video is up here if you'd like to see what 24 hours looks like in this crazy wedding photographers shoes.) ;)we were greeted by some long-horned sheep as we pulled up to the incredibly scenic Della Terra...or maybe they're called rams...I dunno, that's what they looked like to me anyways ;)that previous sentence literally cracks me up...I'm a little on the nature-deprived side of life living in arizona...and anytime I get to travel anywhere other than here, especially colorado...I'm overwhelmed with the awesomeness of nature...green tree's, snow-capped mountains, long-horned sheep that are literally grazing by where we park, blue birds flying in and out of the snow-covered tree's...and even a huge bull elk managed to wander through Coby + Sarah's ceremony!I'll tell you about a few favorite moments in photographing with Elizabeth throughout the day...one, was when Coby saw Sarah for the first time...his face was beaming even while tears flowed..just a little bit. :)two, was during Coby + Sarah's bridal portraits...yep, that bull elk was something to see!the hunter's in the audience made me smile...they were torn with being happy for the friends being married and wanting to just stare at that bull elk's giant rack!I confess, I was too...even with the beauty of Coby + Sarah saying "I do." I still managed to squeeze out a few frames for the Texas hunters. ;)and the last favorite moment was not even of the bride and groom...but rather of her parents.I always tell my parents that they remind me of the Fezziwig's from Dickens A Christmas Carol.happy, full of life...welcoming everyone around them to their happiness...Sarah's parents remind me of them as well...Dwayne and Karla were just so proud being Father + Mother of the Bride the whole day...they hung out in 35 degree weather holding anything anybody needed...flowers, shawls, even lenses...they were simply happy to watch their daughter and son-in-law be in love...as Dwayne + Sarah had their dance...happy tears trickled down while they danced...at the end of their dance he let out a huge Texas "woo-hoo" to break up the bittersweet emotionwhile Coby + Karla stood happily together laughing and smiling at the tears and through a few of their own.and then, when the dance floor opened up...Dwayne led his bride out onto the dance floor...happy to be with the one he so obviously loves.it was such a good day...and one that I'm so thankful I got to be a part of!Elizabeth Ann Photography | kreatid photography + designvenue | Della Terra Mountain Chateauwedding coordinator and event planner | Ansley Event Design, LLCflorals | Newberry Brothersvideography | Forward Motion
