throwing it back to one of the first weddings elizabeth and I photographed this summer...from each wedding I always walk away with a few favorite memories...no matter how long I know the couple...the first favorite memory was from chris as he waited to see amanda for the very first time...all he said was:"I don't know if I'll be able to keep it together..." it was adorable...he was SO filled with excitement and emotion just waiting for her!love it.the second favorite memory was of amanda and her dad.I will forever be an emotional basket-case when it comes time to photographing the daddy/daughter, son/mother dances.it just hits close to home when I think of my own son and daughter on their wedding days.well, her dad takes her hand out to the dance floor and you can tell he is just IN the moment.his gorgeous daughter, their song and just visible love.I love it and love that I get to capture moments like that on camera.the last I will say about my favorite memories from this wedding and to gently remind all you brides planning...it doesn't matter what kind-of budget you have, how many are in your bridal party, what type of location...enjoy. your. day. :)if it rains immediately after your bridal portraits...roll with it! rain is romantic! ;)if your dress gets a smidge of dirt on the bottom...get more on it...it's the one day to wear your dress so WEAR it!you've planned all the details leading up to your day...get someone to oversee them and let go of the planning and just enjoy what you've planned!surround yourself with people who are happy to be there for you and really...I mean it REALLY enjoy your day!this bride gets a HUGE gold star for enjoying her day.HUGE. ;)it was an absolute privilege to get to photograph it for her with elizabeth... :)
