if you're a mom and you're reading this,close your eyes for a second and think about the snapshots you have of your own kids in your minds eye...for me, it's my old backyard, micah talking to his trucks quietly as he pushes rocks around while I looked through the window in my brown chair with maddie sleeping on me,or maddie learning to stand/crawl at the park where we waited for micah to finish sports camp at the rec center as the sun set,or my baby boy lying on the ground next to my feet during band practice taking a nap (yup, that totally happened on a regular basis)or maddie's sweet sleeping head resting under my chin in one of those baby carrier things while micah raised his arms up for me to "hold you"or older, learning to skip rocks into the pacific ocean, the smell of salt water and my cheeks cold from the breeze coming in off the ocean...my point is all of us as mom's have different snap shots we like to go back to in our minds eye...some memories I swear I don't want to forget that somehow I do...that's why I'm so thankful to have some tangible snapshots so that I can go back and rejuvinate aging grey cells and smile at a memory that was almost lost...I think that this is what this session is for me for my friend...her sweet boys...being, well...boys.nerf guns, piggy back rides, sweaty baby foreheads, scooters...and halloween costumes with a killer sunset...yup, tangible snapshots of a season of life that goes by all too quickly...love you, olimbs...thank you for the playdate with your seriously awesome boys...and p.s. you win parents of the year for dressing up your kids like falcor and atreyu from the neverending story...seriously for the win. :)
